Talk by historical fiction writer John Michael Doyle at Swindon’s Central Library on Wednesday 12 June at 7.15pm.
Having written two published novels, The Last Coachman and This Bitter Land, with a third novel in the process of publication, John is well placed to talk about the trials and tribulations involved in writing historical fiction.
The author will be talking about his own personal approach to writing, mistakes made and lessons learnt from his own experiences. In the process he will dispel some of the popular misconceptions people hold about writing and writers in general.
Tickets are priced at £1.50 (library members) and £2.50 (non-members) and are available now from the Visitor Information Centre at Central Library or any Swindon Borough Council library. Tel: 017932 463782 for further information.
