Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre marked its fortieth year on 3 September with an open day of performances by local theatre groups, the chance to look behind the scenes and meet Keith Chegwin, the star of this pantomime Cinderella.
A display of archival images and programmes told the story since the theatre opened in September 1971.
Bringing the Wyvern right up to date, a new easier to use website was unveiled on the day with audiences being able to select the seats they want to book.
A new online comedy leaflet was also launched which includes embedded YouTube videos of performers coming to the Wyvern so that audiences can catch a glimpse of the performance they’re booking.
New marketing manager Richard Loftus, said “we want to encourage our audience to interact with us as much as possible. By improving our online facilities, we’re providing world class service 24 hours a day, in person, over the phone or online.”
