SWINDON Town fan Steven Fyfe, from Hinckley in Leicestershire, has his say on his club’s activity over the course of the summer…
"FOR me, as much as bringing in players is great, this window was as much keeping players and that is exactly what we did.
"Fodderingham, Thompson brothers, Kasim and Luongo were all very influential last season and there is always a fear we will sell. Luckily we didn’t lose any of these bar Louis. I think we have done very smart business with Norwich, last year of contract, getting what could be £1.3m and keeping him for the rest of this season.
"The biggest loss will be Troy. I rated him big time and his performances at the end of last season were inspired.
"The players we have brought in fit in to Cooper and Power’s philosophy and as of yet I have no reason to doubt them.
"Brad Smith replaces McEvely and is probably more of an attacking threat. Turnbull seems like a cultured defender, good on the ball that suits the new formation. Stephens is the man we have been after all summer and despite his age will be a leader at the back.. I will reserve judgement on Obika, Reeves and Rodgers but from opposition fans I hear Reeves will be good for us and Obika has more experience than when he last came (a better and more confident team around him too)."
