Prospect Hospice is urging supporters who want to join its biggest fundraising event of the year to sign up for its Starlight Walk before registration closes on Sunday 8 June.
The event, which sets off and finishes from Lainesmead School on Saturday 28 June, attracts hundreds of walkers, and all funds raised through sponsorship and registration this year supports the local hospice’s nursing costs. To register, visit www.prospect-hospice.net/starlight.
For those who prefer the water to land-based activities, Prospect Hospice is also looking for swimmers to sign up for its Big Swim event on Saturday 12 July at Bowmoor Sailing Club in Lechlade. The event, in its second year, invites participants to take to the water for a 500m, 1.2km, 2.6km or 3.8km dip to raise funds for the Wroughton-based charity. Visit www.prospect-hospice.net/bigswim for further details and to register.
The following day, people who love live music and the great outdoors can support the hospice through its Avebury Rocks event. Avebury Rocks is a sponsored 15km walk, followed by a live acoustic concert in the picturesque village, showcasing the talents of cult local rocker Nick Harper and other guests. Registration for the walk and tickets to the concert are available through www.prospecthospice.net
The ultimate Drifters tribute band Let’s Drift, are coming over from the USA on Friday 20 June for an evening of Soul and Motown in aid of Prospect Hospice.
