Swindon community self-help support group for patients, carers, family and friends abc affected by cancer marked five years since its formation and has expanded to support men and women with breast cancer.
The abc group meets at Lawn Community Centre, Guildford Avenue in Swindon on the first Wednesday of each month from 12noon until 2pm and the third Monday, from 2pm to 4pm. Sessions include a variety of activities from fun seated exercise to craft, painting and talks.
The Swindon Breast Cancer Support Group joined abc earlier in the year and ladies’ meetings now take place on the third Thursday of the month, 7.30pm to 9.30pm, for women affected in any way by cancer.

Beryl said, “abc is a very sociable group offering the opportunity to talk with others and there is a chance for private one-to-one discussion with a trained listener. We provide light refreshments, organise outings, occasional complementary therapies or relevant speakers.
