A group of brave volunteers from Swindon’s Accord Office Supplies scaled the dizzy heights of the Jury’s Inn Hotel in the town centre, to raise money for Prospect Hospice.
The team, made up of eight employees and their families, joined other local residents and businesses abseiling down the 130 foot building on Sunday 15 July. They were raising much-needed funds for the local hospice that provides care for people living with life-limiting illnesses in Swindon and surrounding areas.
Commenting before the event, Jason Thomas managing director from Accord said: “We’re happy to be raising money for such a worthwhile cause. Last year Prospect Hospice helped over 1,600 people in our local area. The hospice has personally supported several of our employees so we thought this would be a great way to say thank you.
“We hope to raise as much money as possible to help the hospice continue to provide support and care for our local community.”
The group hopes to have raised in excess of £800. Readers can also add to the total by making a donation at www.justgiving.com/AccordOfficeSupplies
