IT’S an exciting time for us on the track too and I’ve always had belief the Robins would make the play-offs. We’ve still got a really good chance of doing that.
A lot of our riders are coming into form at the right time, they’re all upping their game and if we can get Kildemand back to his best then life will be so much easier for us.
I just look at the meetings and think we have to win them all, we’re capable of doing it and it’s in our hands. I don’t look at specific meetings we have to go and win, I want to win them all.
Dak (North) has been outstanding, he looks fast and a totally different rider to when he first came in. I don’t quite know why that is but I’ve always believed in his abilities which is why I signed him, and tried to sign him a few times before when I was at Coventry in 2010 and 2011.
I know we can do it and with the help of the fans we really think this could be a special year for the Robins.
It’s really good to have a new publication and website covering the Robins so we can’t wait to work with the Link Magazine and Link Sport online.
Over the last few years James Phipps has been vital to this club along with Dom from Pebley Beach, so for James to be going into the media industry is a great thing for the club.
His support has been fantastic, not just for the speedway club but for sport in the town in general. He supports the football club, the ice hockey, cricket, Swindon Supermarine and without sponsorship things would be hard for everyone.
After winning the league in 2012 we obviously had some tough times in 2013 when it all went wrong, but James and Dom helped us out big style and we’ll always be grateful.
Swindon is a great town for sport and there is a lot of crossover between all of the clubs, so if they can all be brought together by a professional publication that is great for everyone.
