Rolfey, who starred in ITV West antiques programmes ‘Beat the Dealer’ and ‘The Bargain Hunters’, was the star attraction at a fundraising event for Westlea pre-school on 27 November.
The dealer from Bath, accompanied by his son John (himself a trainee auctioneer), helped parents and teachers from the playgroup to raise over £700.
Families from across West Swindon brought along valuables, antiques and collection for a valuation for a £1 donation per item,
Rolfey then lead an auction of goods and services, aided by his son John, to drum up as much cash for the pre-school as possible.
Among the items to be auctioned off will be a visit to Swindon 105.5 FM and the opportunity to co-present one of their radio shows.
Rolfey said: “It was thrilling to be take part and raise funds to buy new play equipment for the children who attend Westlea Pre School. The auction was a perfect opportunity to buy up unusual and interesting Christmas presents.”
Also taking part on the day was entrepreneur and cupcake expert Helen Child-Villiers whose business, the Chepstow Cupcake Company, as achieved success for her colourful and tasty creations. She also showcased her new business specializing in homemade fudge – Go Fudge Yourself!
