Carolyn Arnold from Grange Park is worried that irresponsible parking in Mulcaster Avenue could result in a tragedy.
She says car owners living close to the entrance of Mulcaster are parking on both sides of the road which means anybody turning in from Sudeley Way is confronted with a single lane.
If a vehicle is coming out of Mulcaster Avenue the driver on Sudeley Way, which is a main access route, finds him or herself with traffic – including buses – right behind.
“It’s like playing chicken,” said Carolyn. “It’s usually the least aggressive driver who goes up on the pavement. There are often standoffs with drivers refusing to give way; a road rage confrontation or an accident is a very real possibility.
“It would help if residents could park further down Mulcaster. I realise there is limited parking, but having to reverse back into Sudeley Way is really dangerous.”
