The Swindon Wildcats in the Community are proud to announce that Arval is to be the new Kidzone title sponsor. The Kidzone initiative has seen 1000’s of families enjoy watching the Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey team play at the Link Centre at a discounted rate with a share of the income generated being donated back to the school, youth club or community group. Since its inception in 2006, Kidzone has been a huge success with up to 400 people attending through the scheme on gamenights.
Steve Nell General Manager of the Wildcats commented on the announcement “This is great news for Wildcats in the Community, the schools and community groups who have attended and benefited from the scheme. It is fantastic that Wildcats in the Community is recognised as an important part of the community and what it gives back. For a high profile local based company such as Arval to recognise and back the good work we do is very encouraging and means we can look to grow Kidzone further and encourage more and more families to this great sport and raise further funds for those groups that attend”.
Arval is Europe’s leading contract hire and fuel management company employing more than 900 staff at its Swindon head office. Owned by BNP Paribas, one of the world’s strongest banks, the company provides products and services that impact more than 1.2 million drivers in the UK alone.
Arval Operations Director Angela Montacute comments “The Swindon Wildcats Kidzone scheme is something that benefits a broad group of local people by offering a great evening’s entertainment whilst raising much needed funds for lots of schools and groups. We are proud to be supporting Kidzone and look forward to seeing this venture, and the Wildcats in the Community, grow with our support”.
The Swindon Wildcats take on local rivals Milton Keynes Lightning this Sunday at the Link Centre with a 6pm face off. There is sure to be another packed house with families attending through the Arval Kidzone.
