On Wednesday 28 March, Basepoint Swindon is joining forces with licensee, Swindon Trauma Group, by hosting a raffle to raise money to support the group’s work and also to help secure funding from The Community Foundation for Wiltshire and Swindon.
Swindon Trauma Group was established in 2006 to provide support to military veterans and sufferers of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Gulf War Syndrome. Within that remit, the voluntary group aims to raise awareness of the conditions amongst medical professionals to help give better support to those who are suffering with them.
Lyn Chapman, Basepoint Swindon’s centre manager, commented: “We are delighted to be showing our support for Swindon Trauma Group. Over the last year, we have held two successful fundraising events for the group, so we hope to continue the fundraising success and help sell lots of raffle tickets.”
The raffle draw will take place on 28 March at Basepoint Swindon and tickets can be purchased from the centre’s reception for £2.50 each. Prizes include a Swindon Marriott Hotel Sunday lunch voucher for a family of four in the Source Grill Restaurant, cinema tickets and various other prizes.
Basepoint Swindon comprises 88 unfurnished office and workshop units across three buildings, set in an attractive landscaped courtyard setting. The centre boasts a full-time reception, licensee’s breakout area, meeting rooms and free car parking. All units are Cat 5e wired with state-of-the-art digital phones and superfast broadband. Ideally located at Westlea, Swindon, the Centre offers easy access to Swindon town centre, and J16 of the M4 motorway.
