Level 1 Beauty Therapy students from Swindon College are supporting Oxfam by spending a day working in the local charity shop in Swindon.
There are 16 students taking part allowing support for 16 weeks.
Becs Croce Oxfam manager said: “I’ve had students since February during term times and they have been absolutely brilliant! They are always interested and friendly and have shown genuine enthusiasm about learning and working in the shop. I am really impressed with them and will miss them when they have finished!”
Students are learning cashier skills, sorting clothes, working with the public and being able to develop their communication skills.
Kelly Reynolds the Beauty lecturer is very proud of her students. “This opportunity to work with such a worthwhile charity has enabled the students to complete some work experience whilst supporting the charity as part of their course. I am very proud of them.”
