The occult and its possible links to modern science will be the subject of a talk by two bestselling historical authors at the Central Library this week.
Clive Prince and Lynn Picknett will be dropping into the Regent Circus library on Thursday, 14 April to talk about their new book The Forbidden Universe.
The book examines how pioneers of science such as Copernicus, Newton, Galileo and Bacon owed much of their achievements to occult beliefs – the Hermetica.
The Forbidden Universe describes the authors’ search of the Hermetic origins of modern science to prove that over the past 400 years there has been a secret agenda behind the search for truth.
The talk by Clive Prince and Lynn Picknett starts at 7.30pm and tickets, priced at £2 (£1.50 concessions), are available from the First Floor Help point at the Central Library.
