Wiltshire Police is appealing for information and witnesses following a spate of distraction thefts in Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett between Thursday 9th May 2013 and Friday 10th May 2013.
There have been five reported incidents so far, all of a similar nature. It involves two females entering Post Offices and other local businesses asking for £20 notes to be changed into £10 notes.
After some confusion and distraction of the staff, the women then ask for the original £20 notes back and leave with these and the £10 notes already given to them.
It is believed that there are three women involved and possibly a fourth person driving a dark Vauxhall Vectra type car.
The suspects are described as being of Eastern European origin, possibly a mother and daughter, and both have several gold teeth that are on show when they speak.
CCTV images of the women that police would like to speak to in connection with these incidents will be emailed out separately.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
