Rodbourne Community History Group is running a series of tours around Churchward to look at the site where Swindon’s heritage and economic success was built by thousands of people working in the famed GWR railway works.
Rodbournites with personal memories of working ‘inside’ will talk about everyday life building and maintaining locomotives and rolling stock, and all the dozens of trades associated with keeping the railway going in the past.
Tour dates are 23 August, 13, 14 and 25 September, 6 and 7 December.
Spaces are limited so book a place early by contacting the group secretary: 01793 616558 or mail: email@example.com
