Four named acts with 13 UK top ten hits – Sonia, Limahl, Hazell Dean & Tight Fit – ready to perform in Town Gardens, Old Town
The Bowl comes alive as we all relive the moods of the decade when Margaret Thatcher was the nearest thing to girl power and big hair, shoulder pads and eyeliner were the norm.
Our four acts will have you dancing all night and singing along to all your favourites from back in the 80s. So grab your friends and book your tickets for the biggest 80s part this summer.
Sonia launched her career when she was signed up by Stock Aitken Waterman in 1989. Her debut Single, ‘You’ll Never Stop Me Loving You’ became her first number one single, and at 18, she became one of the youngest female British singers to achieve this feat. In 1993, she represented the UK in the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest with ‘Better the Devil You Know’ and finished in 2nd place.
Limahl launched his solo career in 1983 after leaving Kajagoogoo and had many hits along with the UK number 4 hit, ‘The Never Ending Story’. He toured the country extensively with the hit musical ‘What A Feeling’ alongside the likes of Sinita & Gwen Dickey.
Hazell Dean’s first big hit ‘Searchin’ was number one in the UK Dance Chart in 1983. She then joined Stock Aitken Waterman and had many top ten hits such as ‘Whatever I Do, Wherever I Go’, ‘Who’s Leaving Who’ and ‘Turn It Into Love’.
Getting us in the 80s mood we have Tight Fits, Back To The 80s Show. They achieved No.1 chart status in 1982, with their hits ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ and ‘Fantasy Island’. They will be performing fantastic sounds of the 80s, to get us in the groove.
