Brit Award winners, JLS, the most successful new group of 2009, will be playing a special forest concert this summer, at Westonbirt Arboretum, Gloucestershire, as part of Forestry Commission Live Music.
JLS have had a phenomenal 12 months. Their first two singles ‘Beat Again’ and ‘Everybody In Love’ debuted at No 1. Their debut self-titled album released in November 2009 entered the charts at No 1 and has sold well over a million copies and their new single ‘One Shot’, is currently proving another hit with radio stations across the UK.
As well as outstanding record sales, JLS have been picking up awards along the way including two MOBOs for Best Newcomer and Best Song for ‘Beat Again’ and two 2010 Brit Awards for British Breakthrough Act and British Single for ‘Beat Again.’
Commenting on the booking, Simon Hough, Events Manager for Westonbirt Arboretum said, "I am delighted we have secured a date with the hottest pop act of the moment. This is a welcome addition to our 2010 line-up of acts and will no doubt be attracting a younger audience to the arboretum".
Forestry Commission Live Music introduces some music fans to a woodland environment for the first time. Many of them come back to enjoy the beautiful surroundings for healthy and fun outdoor recreation including walking, mountain biking and watching wildlife.
