There are several events taking place at Savernake Street Social Halls in January and February, organised by the group hoping to take over community management of the halls from Swindon Borough Council.
A car boot and table top sale will be held on 20 January, 9am (set-up from 8) until 12 midday. With lots of spaces for pitches and tables, the group hope this could be a regular event. They are also offering a low introductory rate of just £3 per pitch.
There will be tea, coffee, and warm breakfast snacks, so it will be a good opportunity to meet some new neighbours over breakfast!
To book a pitch or space for a table (bring your own trestle table if possible) contact the group by email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07811649355.
Another date for your diary is the public meeting to be held on 18 February at 7.30pm at the main (middle) hall. At this meeting, the constitution for Eastcott Community Association/Organisation will be adopted and post holders elected.
This will form the committee that will, as one of its roles, manage the running of the halls. Anyone living in Eastcott and the surrounding area along with all hall users are invited to attend.
If you would like to find out how you can be involved with running the hall or with specific events, please contact us through email@example.com or on Facebook:
