Nowadays everybody wants to know where their food comes from which is why Purton House Organic Farm is holding ‘A Celebration of Local’ on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May, 11am to 3pm.
Purton Farm Shop
Hosted by the newly expanded Purton Farm Shop, the event is a showcase for local producers and will offer the perfect opportunity to see where food is grown, talk to producers and suppliers, and sample and buy from local sources.
Kate Robinson who runs the new look farm shop said: “We are passionate about providing a community hub of locally and ethically sourced produce at affordable prices all in one place.
“This event is a true celebration of bringing everything local together – growers, producers, suppliers, and the most important ingredient, consumers.”
Purton House farm shop carries an extensive range of locally sourced produce, including cheeses, butters, breads, jams and chutneys, and free range meat pies, alongside their own organic range of meats, vegetables, fruits and free range eggs.
The is no charge to take part in the food festival. Visitors will also be able to walk round the farm, see the animals and enjoy light refreshments.
