The RSPCA have received a cheque for £65 from a Christmas Spectacular Fund Raising concert , which was performed and totally organised by 4 friends; Tia Thomas (11), Jasmine Key (12), Lauren Munro(12) and Summer Tsokos(11).
The fundraiser was the idea of Tia and Jasmine who choreographed, made props for the show and stalls, and directed the show. The performance which was at the Haydon Centre, took place on 20 December 2010, with a mixture of song (including a solo from Summer Tsokos), dance, puppetry and also audience participation!
A small but appreciative audience thoroughly enjoyed the show. Various stalls were set up offering cakes, lucky dip, raffle, ‘I’m a teddy get me out of here’, tea, sweetie cups and name the teddy.
The Christmas Spectacular was to raise awareness and funds for the RSPCA – especially at Christmas! Tia and Jasmine made posters and Tia made information slips telling people how important it was to donate.
Everyone involved was very proud of the performance and how successful it was!
