Multi-talented, star of TV, radio, stage and film, Keith Chegwin will be starring in Swindon’s spectacular pantomime, Cinderella, this year as the loveable Buttons.
Starting his early career on the West End Stage and in numerous films including Polanski’s Macbeth he then went on to start his long career in children’s television, becoming a household name. For 11 years he was the face of Saturday morning TV as one of the main presenters of Multi-Coloured Swap Shop and Saturday Superstore, as well as his own iconic kids show Cheggers Plays Pop.
Keith Chegwin has been a regular face on TV ever since including presenting The Big Breakfast for two and a half years and then GMTV which he worked on for seven years, during which time he has knocked on over 250 doors from Lands End to John O’Groats. In 2006 he returned to acting when he appeared in the TV series Extras opposite Ricky Gervais and Orlando Bloom.

Keith Chegwin, said: ‘I am so looking forward to spending my Christmas with the people of Swindon – I love a good family Panto – loads of laughs and I promise not to sing too much! However, I might tap dance, move over Ann Widdecombe! Just can’t wait for to get started. Wish I could buy a ticket to watch it. Wey Hey!”
