Citifaith International Church is a thriving church in the heart of the Swindon Town Centre catering to a congregation of around 300 people from all ages and a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
A spokesperson for Citifaith said,
“We are extremely blessed to have such an international congregation with over 30 nations represented amongst our attendees. Each nationality brings a richness and depth to our church and adds value to our services. Once a year we set aside a special day to celebrate the diversity in our congregation.
Despite our great diversity we are brought together in unity to love and serve God and show God’s love to the Swindon community in practical ways.”
As part of the service a representative from each country presented their flag before the congregation. The presentation ended with the flag of the United Kingdom to honour the country that the church is committed to serving. This year the presentation culminated with the Flag of the Swindon Coat of Arms which was presented by the Deputy Mayor Councillor Nick Martin who then addressed the congregation. The celebration continued after the service with a selection of food from many of the countries represented and then continued into the afternoon with a variety of international entertainment items.
Citifaith International Church is deeply committed to improving the lives of those in Swindon. They started a group in April 2012 called Love Swindon whose aim is to do community projects to help those in need. Projects to date include redecorating houses, gardening, litter picking, garbage collection and food hampers. Their next major project is to provide 40 shopping trolleys of food to needy families over Christmas.
If anyone would like to get involved or donate towards any projects, please contact the church office on 01793 481555.
