A cookery school in North Swindon is holding a special two hour class to help people understand how to get the healthy benefits of fruit and veg.
It takes place at Rusland Cookery School in Haydon Wick on Tuesday 12 August, 6.30pm, where participants will learn how to create tasty and very healthy desserts like cheesecakes and tortes.
Organiser and natural health sciences nutritionist Mandy Parsons said: “Public awareness of the importance of fruit and vegetables in our diets has been brought to the fore in Swindon by The Core juice bar in Old Town, and the work of food producers like Purton House Organics.
“We all know how important it is to look after ourselves and enjoy our mealtimes, but this presents a challenge for sweet-toothed pudding-lovers. John Bridgeman of Rusland has stepped in with this new class in response to requests for help in creating a vegan dessert without using gluten and refined sugar.
"Students will find out how to create tasty puddings while learning how to make ingredients hold together without cooking them.”
Ingredients, equipment and tuition are included in the £48 fee, £20 of which will be taken as a deposit.
