Coffee culture arrived at the West Swindon Centre on Wednesday 29 August when Costa Coffee opened with a completely new look.
It’s one of the first three in the country to show off a new decor, new furniture style and colour ways, new look counter and new hi-tech coffee machines designed to deliver even more consistently great cup of coffee.
Franchise owner Steve Falle said he was pleased to offer a new branch in West Swindon branch. "It’s a great location to open in. We’ve provided ten jobs to local people; I think we’ll be welcomed by visitors to the shopping centre."
West Swindon Centre manager Stuart Tanfield added: "I’m really glad to welcome Costa. It’s a well known brand which will attract not only our regular shoppers but also new people. I think the footfall will significantly increase. With the new Cutting Bar Salon just opened, every one of our units is now occupied. There is a lot to visit here."
There were first day teething problems with credit card machines and cash payment could only be taken. There will be free Wi-Fi when other telecommunication provider problems have been sorted out, and permission may be secured to locate tables and chairs in the indoor mall of the shopping centre.
