Instead of your dog being left by itself for long periods whilst you’re out at work all day, Hair of the Dog salon owner Denise Jones has decided to branch out with a dog crèche.
The idea is already very popular in the USA and Australia but her Doggy Daycare will be one of the first of its kind in Swindon.
Dogs will learn important socialisation skills, make new friends in playtime and have a snooze after two walks during the day. Denise, right, said, “when you collect your pet at the end of the day you will have a dog happy and content to relax with you in the evening.”
As well as being good for busy working people, the crèche could provide a solution over the holiday period when people have extra houseguests or need to do the Christmas shopping said Denise.
Initially the dog crèche will normally operate from 8am to 6pm on four days a week and initial costs are £20 for a full day, (£25 on Sunday), £10 per half day.
There are discounts for dogs booked for two or more days. Denise plans to open every day in the New Year when she will hold an open day for pet owners.
Dogs will need to have all vaccination certificates and be assessed for group care. Once registered, they can be booked into care anytime.
