Due to popular demand, the deadline has been extended for a competition sponsored by The Commonweal School PTA and Originzone, in association with Swindon & Wiltshire Schools Eco Network. It was inspired by the WWF Earth Hour project which started with a global switching off of lights at the start of the Easter holidays.
Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 students are asked to design an eye-catching poster that will spread the message that everyone can help to save the planet! So far, slogans encouraging turning off lights when not needed, closing windows and doors, not charging mobiles overnight or leaving TVs & games on standby have been explored, while others have considered the idea that little savings add up and the future is in our hands! There are cash prizes.
Winning entries will be professionally printed and distributed. All entries should be A4 size and can be in any medium. All entries will be displayed at the Swindon Schools Eco Conference on Tuesday November 13 2012 at The Build Centre.
The new closing date is Friday, June 1st 2012. Entries can be delivered to The Commonweal School, The Mall, SN1 4HB or emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org
