Families can choose from a whole host of activities during the Easter holidays at a number of Swindon’s leisure centres.
Swindon Borough Council’s Leisure Services team are running a series of promotions designed to keep the whole family entertained from the Splash and Smash Easter weekend at the Link Centre through to the Golf Open Weekend at Broome Manor Golf Complex.
An Easter egg hunt, free coaching for families and children as well as putting and chipping competitions are on offer at the Golf Open Weekend at Broome Manor from Good Friday, 18 April to Easter Sunday, 20 April.
The weekend also features adult and junior golf competitions and colouring competitions. For further information call Broome Manor on 01793 532403.
The Link Centre is hosting its Splash and Smash Weekend from Friday, 18 April through to Monday, 21 April and a number of activities are just £2 per person.
Badminton, table tennis, short tennis, swimming and squash are all available at the special offer price and football pitches can be booked at just £4 a time plus £1 per player. For more information call the Link Centre on 01793 445566.
Those wanting to cool down from some of the Link’s more physical activities can take advantage of Easter on Ice at Swindon Ice Arena.
The casual skating session is for adults and children of all ages and abilities and takes place on Friday and Monday from 10am to 12noon and from 1pm to 3pm.
Dedicated family sessions, which are ideal for younger skaters, also take place on Saturday and Sunday from 2.45pm to 4.45pm. There is also an Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday (20 April) between 10am and 12noon.
The Ice Arena also hosts Sub Zero for those aged 12 and over and features lighting effects and a DJ. It is held on Friday and Saturday nights between 8.30pm and 10.30pm.
Skoolz Out SK8 is for school age children with lots of energy to burn on Fridays between 4.30pm and 6pm, while the Cool Kids Club has fun and games for children and families on Saturdays between 10am and 12noon.
Children can also take part in a number of holiday camps taking place over the Easter break.
The Hi5 Holiday Camp at the Haydon Centre provides activities for children of primary school age (four to 12) activities include team and ball games, football, basketball, trampolining, bouncy castle, arts and crafts, quizzes and lots more.
Alternatively, there is Junior Golf at Broome Manor, Junior Tennis at Delta Tennis Centre and Junior Climbing at the Link Centre.
