The ever popular Craft Food and Country Gift Fair at Gatcombe Park takes place over the weekend of October 24 and 25, and this year has some very special attractions to enjoy at an even bigger and better event.
Many of the UK’s top traditional and contemporary craftsmen are coming to Gatcombe Park for visitors to enjoy. From glass blowers, fine artists, caricaturists, carvers, specialist woodmen including bodgers and coppice makers, potters, traditional stick makers to the wonderful blacksmith teams, bee keepers and entertaining marionettes. The crafts and entertainments for children are endless too, with face painting, make and take and juggling workshops. With Christmas coming, the fair is the perfect place to find presents, stocking fillers and hamper fare.
The Gatcombe Park event spotlights crafts, gifts and food – all to be found at the numerous specialist areas, including a craft village and a fabulous food hall – with many special local and regional producers selling direct to visitors. Visitors will be able to enjoy breakfast, lunch and tea on site with a superb selection of gastronomic delights to suit all tastes.
Attractions are planned for all day entertainment and along with ferret racing and entertainments, well-known Game-To-Eat chefs – Tony Robertson and Rob Marles – are appearing live on stage at the brand new Christmas Country Kitchen giving wonderful Christmas food ideas and demonstrations on stage. The chefs appear in part of the food hall – all packed with delicious food, drink to try, sample and to buy.
