In our Name is a brand new independent film on the subject of Post Trauma Stress Disorder which affects many military personnel returning from war zones, and it is the first film to be offered by Curzon cinemas as part of its newly launched movie streaming service.
Dick Hilling of Swindon Trauma Group, the Swindon based forum dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of PTSD said “we are campaigning for post trauma stress to be better recognised and properly treated. The effects of it can be devastating to people’s lives.”
Link writer Juliet Platt, who has interviewed Dick a number of times for articles about the work of Swindon Trauma Group said, “I know about this film particularly because the director is the nephew of one of my colleagues. I thought it would be of interest to members and supporters of the group, both here in Swindon and further afield. This film could do much to raise awareness of the difficulties of PTSD in a very powerful and emotive way.”
The film stars popular TV actress Joanne Froggatt, pictured right, as a female soldier struggling to adapt back to civilian life and motherhood. (Image: Curzon online)
It is available to stream from Curzon on Demand for £8 at http://www.curzoncinemas.com/film_on_demand/
