Threshold announced today they have postponed their ‘An Evening of Folk, Blues & Alt-Country’ at the County Ground this Thursday (18th) due to serious illness.
Swindon’s homeless charity, Threshold, were expecting over 150 people to see 3 of the best acts in UK folk and alt-country but unfortunately drummer for the Redlands Palomino Co., The Snakes and Chris Rees has been taken seriously ill.
This event was expected to raise well over £1500 for the charity and many fans are disappointed to not be able to catch these great bands in Swindon.
The event will be re-scheduled for later in the year and any tickets bought will be fully refunded.

Swindon’s homeless charity Threshold is holding their Annual General Meeting at STFC’s County Ground from 1pm on Thursday 18 August and wrapping it up with an Evening of Folk, Blues and Alt-Country from 6pm to raise money. The event sees three incredible alt-country, folk and blues acts; The Redlands Palomino Co., The Snakes and singer-songwriter Chris Rees take to the stage supported by Graham Mack’s Rock Band and local acoustic acts.
Threshold is looking to expand their member base and is sending out an open invite to anyone who would like to come along and learn about homelessness in Swindon and the related issues. There is no charge for attending the Annual General Meeting and a buffet lunch will be provided. Tickets for An Evening of Folk, Blues and alt-Country are only £10; a real bargain and an excellent opportunity to see these fantastic acts in Swindon.
Threshold has been providing advice, shelter and support to homeless people in Swindon since 1972 and relies on the generosity of its supporters to continue providing this vital service within the community.
