Cordon Insurance from Trowbridge has donated a full Nike football kit to support a charity game between a local team and former professionals, many with a connection to Swindon Town FC, to raise money for the West Swindon based family respite care centre.
John Cordon, managing director of his insurance company, said he had received a letter of appeal sent by event organiser Kelvin Hall on the same morning he had been informed that his business had earned an incentive offered by DAS Legal Services to pay for charity sports kit.
The game is set for the County Ground on 25 May and Kelvin has over 6,000 tickets to sell as well as lots of raffle prizes to collect. Proceeds will be donated to Hop, Skip and Jump which supports children with learning and physical difficulties and their families.
