Cotswold Sailing Club is hoping to open up sailing to a new audience next weekend as the club holds a free open weekend on 29 and 30 June.
The club’s beautiful lake, located in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park, will be open to non-members who want to come along and experience the thrill of sailing first hand with qualified instructors.
The club is inviting all ages and abilities to enjoy the facilities and try out a bit of sailing – entry, parking and sailing will be completely free.
Safety gear will be supplied, but visitors may get wet so are encouraged to dress accordingly.
Anne Higgins from Cotswold Sailing Club, said: “It’s all about the thrill of sailing and having fun at Cotswold Sailing Club. No matter how young or old, whether you’ve never sailed before or want to get back into it, we’ve got great facilities and experienced trainers here. It would be great to see as many new faces as possible, even if people just want to come along and relax in the club house and admire the view across the lake; we are encouraging everyone to see what we’ve got here”.
The open weekend takes place between 10:00 and 4:00 on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June.
The club is located at Lake 9 (Spinnaker Lake) in the Cotswold Water Park, about a mile from the A419 (Water Park exit) heading towards Cerney Wick.
