Plans for the £90,000 refurbishment of Freshbrook village centre can be seen inside Freshbrook Community Centre during November.
The project will see the removal of shrub planters in the car park and spaces will be clearly marked. Five existing places outside the shop will be designated for people with disabilities.
A new vehicle circulation flow around the car park will be introduced as well as a pedestrian walk way to make it easier for people on foot to get across it.
The recycling bins will be relocated, and a new entrance sign erected which hopefully will list centre businesses.
The 6 week project starting at the end of February is the first major refurbishment of the village centre since it was built in the mid-1980s.
