"From a photo comes…." is a solo exhibitition by Swindon photographer and digital artist J. Glenn Bauer and is currently on display at the West Swindon Library until 31 May 2011.
The exhibition of fine art photography images and digitally created art pieces comprises urban photography, abstract fine art photography, landscapes and Glenn’s own unique Urbarizon photography.
This is a first exhibition by Glenn who is originally from Southern Africa where he lived for many years before relocating to Swindon.
Self taught, Glenn has been practising photography and digital art design for nearly 7 years. In that time he has done his share of corporate photography, portraiture and even two weddings.
While still doing portraiture and corporate work, Glenn’s greatest passion is to create beautiful and compelling images with the photographs he takes. He is particularly excited by his Urbarizon images as these blend popular gritty urban photography with abstract art.
He said, “When people talk of horizons I guess most people visualise panoramic landscapes. Living in towns and cities our horizons are more urban and actually tell a lot about our communities and needs. This is the theme I explore in photography and producing Urban Horizons or Urbarizons.”
