Black tie evening raises over £6,000 for Goldenhar Family Support Group and helped Alan Holmes hit a £50,000 landmark for the charity
A 20-piece big band, 20 amazing auction prizes and 20 tables of guests were all part of The Golden Ball 2013.
Organised by Nathan Jones All Stars Big Band & Alan Holmes (Holmes Music) the event was held in St Joseph’s Catholic College Swindon and raised an amazing £6100 for the Goldenhar Family Support Group.
“This is becoming an annual event that is fantastically supported,” commented Nathan Jones. “It’s the perfect opportunity for guests to get their dancing shoes on and raise some money for a great cause at the same time.”
“I would like to thank Nathan Jones and the All Stars for again supporting Goldenhar as the chosen charity,” comment Alan Holmes
“There were so many people and companies that donated prizes for the raffle – and I cannot thank them enough for supporting the event.
“It’s a charity very close to my heart and I became involved with the Goldenhar Family Support Group when my grandson Morgan was born with Goldenhar Syndrome in Feb 2007.”
The money raised at the event helped Alan to hit a personal milestone of raising in excess of £50,000 for Goldenhar since 2007.
“Alan is an advocate for the charity and we cannot thank him, and people like Nathan for choosing Goldenhar as their chosen charity.” said Robert Groocock, Group Chairman for Goldenhar.
