Costa Coffee’s Swindon Drive Thru coffee shop opened on Friday 17 June at Swindon’s Lydiard Fields, promising to deliver great coffee for people ‘on the go’ in and around the town.
Twenty jobs have been created at the new Drive Thru, which is only the second of six planned across the UK that are due to open by the end of 2012.
The Drive Thru will offer seating inside and outside for customers, who can relax with a coffee and a delicious snack before continuing on their journey. There will be seating, both indoor and outdoor for approximately 85 people and the store will be open from 5.30am – 9.00pm Monday to Saturday and 7am –9.00pm on Sundays.
Andy Hudson, who has been managing the Swindon town centre store, one of the most successful stores in the region, will take on the role as Manager for the new Drive Thru. He says: “I’m really excited about the Drive Thru opening here in Swindon. There has been lots of buzz about it around the town. My team are really looking forward to being able to serve motorists great coffee and food when they are having a break from their journeys.”
Marcus Iggulden, Regional Manager for Costa in Gloucester & Wiltshire, says: “We are thrilled to be opening the second Costa Drive Thru store, in Swindon. As well as bringing new employment opportunities to the town, we feel this is a great opportunity to demonstrate the quality and passion that goes into every single cup of Costa’s coffee, all of which is hand-crafted by expert baristas. The Drive Thru will also offer people the chance to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee before continuing with their journey.”
