TWO exclusions cost Robins number one Peter Kildemand dear as he missed out on a place in the Grand Prix series this evening.
The Dane managed eight point from his first three rides in the GP Challenge in Lonigo, putting him firmly in the mix, but an exclusion in heat 13, where he hit the deck while chasing Chris Harris, followed by another in heat 19 following a tangle with Tomas H Jonasson brought an end to his bid.
It was a better night for Swindon asset Jason Doyle who, along with Harris and Matej Zagar, scored 13 points to secure their places, while Maciej Janowski is also in line for a GP place after finishing fourth. With Slovenian Zagar set to earn his qualification by finishing in the top eight of the world championship this season, Janowski would make it in from the Challenge.
Kildemand could still line up at speedway’s top table in 2015 if series organisers BSI opt to hand him a wild card, having made finals of both of his two GP appearances this season at Copenhagen and Vojens.
