Staff from the mortgage advisory teams at Halifax branches across Wiltshire came together for a day’s hard graft in two gardens at Uplands Special School on 14 May.
They pulled up a mountain of weeds in the memorial garden designed by Link advertiser Jill Blackwood.
Opened in 2010 the garden is a place of reflection for all members of the Uplands community to remember five students who sadly passed away in the previous two years.
It’s also regularly used as an outdoor classroom.
The Halifax staff raised funds for the project which was matched by the bank.

The volunteers cleared an area so that a living willow sculpture can be created, and planted flowers and shrubs using compost donated by Wyevale Garden Centre.
They also dug over a separate kitchen garden which has been planted to grow crops for the community cafe.
