The Hills Group has announced that it will sponsor the Corporate Green Awards for a third year successive year. Managed and judged by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, the Corporate Green Awards recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice by businesses based in Wiltshire and Swindon.
Hills CEO, Mike Hill said, “We have supported the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust for the past 20 years and are proud to sponsor the Corporate Green Awards again – it is a great way for local businesses to gain recognition for environmental best practice.”
Entry is open to all companies, whether local or national, who have an office or base in Wiltshire or Swindon. There are 8 Award categories : Award for Sustainable Impact on the Land; Award for Green Office; Award for Green Tourism; Award for Climate Change Impact for companies making the greatest reduction in their or their customers’ carbon-footprint; Green Shoots Award; Outstanding Contribution Award; Award for Green Travel and Award for Sustainable Progress.
Entries must be submitted directly to the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust (www.wiltshirewildlife.org) and the closing deadline for entries is 5.00pm on Friday 10 September 2010. There is no cost or fee for entering.
The awards ceremony and dinner will take place at the Cotswold Water Park Four Pillars Hotel on Friday 8 October 2010 with special guest speaker Dick Strawbridge MBE, presenter of the BBC’s TV series ‘It’s not easy being green’.
