Looking for ancestors in 19th and 20th Century institutions will form the basis of a talk at the Central Library on Monday 22 April.
Margaret Moles, an archivist from the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre based in Chippenham, will be at Swindon’s Central Library at 1pm to give an overview of how to do family history research using the records of workhouses, asylums, hospitals, prisons/reform schools, children’s homes and orphanages.
On hand to offer advice
Prior to the talk, Margaret will be on hand between 10am and 12noon to offer advice on family and local history research.
