SWINDON were beaten 1-0 at Wotton under Edge in their latest pre-season friendly on Saturday.
Although the visitors were missing three players, they were still able to field a strong side, as Chris Parsons and Lewis Dyer shored up the centre of midfield and skipper Luke Cejer provided creativity on the left.
Swindon dominated the first half but saw several gilt-edged chances go begging, as the hosts picked up three yellow cards, and Wootton took advantage of their guests’ profligacy after the break to steal a late winner.
This weekend, Swindon face Stroud in their final friendly at Isambard School, with push-back at 12.30pm. Then, on Saturday, September 27, they travel to Swansea for their first league game of the 2014/15 season.
