A special meeting of Purton Parish Council takes pace on Monday 15 August, 7.30pm in the Purton Village Hall to discuss a planning application for a development of five four bedroomed houses on a site which currently has one large house on it.
Purton residents are opposed to the project which they say will considerably increase traffic on a narrow access lane which is a safe route for pedestrians, particularly used by parents walking children to children
The residents of Battlewell which consists of five other houses are all opposed to development because of them, the surrounding area and other users of the lane. They have raised a petition which has attracted 200 signatories objecting to the application which will be delivered to the parish council for forwarding to the Wiltshire Council planning committee.
