Signal relay masts across Swindon are being upgraded to deliver 4G services to smartphones and some homes could experience disruption to their Freeview service at 800MHz where the picture breaks up badly.
at800, the company responsible for dealing with the problems, have been distributing postcards to homes explaining how the problem can be dealt with.
They say most people should not experience disruption but where it takes place they will supply a free easy to plug-in at800 branded filter which should return the Freeview service to normal.
If this does not work, other solutions will be proposed, including restoring normal service at the expense of at800 if the switch to 4G is shown to be the cause of the fault.
