Solomon Training is offering beginner and intermediate IT courses for unemployed people in the computer suite at North Swindon Library from mid-May.
The courses are free to anyone who receives Job Seekers or Employment and Support Allowances and lead to recognised qualifications.
Training manager Tania Jones said: “We’re offering a 6 day course for beginners covering word processing and use of the internet and email. We also have a whole range of courses for the more advanced user, such as specialist training in MS Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint, plus a module on business productivity.
“All of our trainees have expressed 100 per cent satisfaction with our courses, with many saying it has directly or indirectly influenced their employment prospects, either because of the skills themselves or the confidence they have gained.”
