On Monday 4 June Janet’s Puppy Skool will be taking part in the Old Town Rotary’s Duck Race Fund Raising at Westcott Recreation Ground from 11am to 4pm.
Our arena is called the Clever Dog ring and we are raising funds for Dog A.I.D. (Assistance In Disability) which is a scheme to help people with physical disabilities train their own pet dogs to help them with chores and activities to make their lives so much easier. It’s called the Clever Dog class because dogs and owners will be able to ‘Have a Go’ at the tasks and obstacles around the ring which are easy, fun and suitable for all. The best 6 at the end of the day win a prize and one of our special Jubilee rosettes – although no-one goes away empty handed.
On Sunday June 10 we have a team from the Puppy Skool taking part in the Race for Life (with our dogs) for the 4th year running (ever since they allowed dogs). It is always a very special part of our yearly fund raising and one close to all of our hearts remembering the people we have lost to cancer. Our huge team of beautifully behaved dogs is always a sight to see and we are very proud to be able to join the day and help the battle against this horrible disease.
