Let your imagination roam at a free workshop exploring the joys of psycho-geography and art journaling on 8 September, 11am to 1pm, at the Bowls Club house in Old Town.
Workshop co-leader, artist and journaling enthusiast, Bea Menier said: “Psycho-geography can be described as having a whole toybox full of playful, inventive strategies for exploring the environment, designed to take you off your predictable path and jolt you into a new awareness of the landscape.
“After a 15 minute psycho-geographical tour of Town Gardens to absorb the atmosphere of the place, there will be a chance to create an artistic journal depicting the images that have had an impact on you, whether visually, sensually or emotionally.
“These can be in whatever medium is preferred – for example, drawing, watercolour, pastel or collage.”
