The Wyvern Theatre is thrilled to reveal that the Juvenile Chorus, for this year’s pantomime Aladdin, has now been cast.
Earlier this year, pantomime producer Daryl Back called out for “outstandingly talented dancers, both boys and girls, to be part of this year’s spectacular pantomime.”
Applications to audition flooded in to the theatre and after the intensive auditions the Juvenile Chorus is now complete.
Eve Golding, 17, is one of the talented local dancers who will join Cheggers on stage this Christmas.
“Aladdin will be my fifth pantomime as a Juve,” she said. “I loved working with Keith last year and can’t wait to work with him again – he’s a real laugh!”
Eve, who works for the Wyvern’s Hospitality Department Front of House, will join 10 other young performers to form this year’s juvenile chorus.
Aladdin shall see the return of Keith Chegwin, after his highly-praised performances in last year’s Cinderella, and is packed with all the traditional Wyvern Theatre panto ingredients of side-splitting comedy, stunning sets, beautiful costumes and a fantastic cast.
Aladdin is produced by One From The Heart by arrangement with HQ Theatres, and staged by the same team that presented last year’s critically-acclaimed Swindon pantomime. Qdos Entertainment, who operate HQ Theatres, will stage 24 pantomimes around the UK this Christmas and its 2012/13 pantomime season is sponsored by Skype. Like pantomime, Skype is a family-oriented organisation and brings people together to share in special moments.
This is a magic carpet ride audiences won’t want to miss!
Aladdin, starring Keith Chegwin, will run at the Wyvern Theatre from Saturday 8 December 2012 to Sunday 6 January 2013. Book tickets today at www.wyverntheatre.org.uk or by calling the Ticket Office on 01793 524 481.
