SWINDON Town chairman Lee Power is hopeful of concluding a deal for a new training ground by the end of November.
The Robins have been long searching for a new facility, given the state of the current training ground at Liddington which they share with activity centre PGL.
A potential move to the Beversbrook centre in Calne broke down last season but, in his programme notes ahead of the clash with Preston North End this evening, Power has revealed that a relocation may not be far away.
He wrote: "Over the past few weeks I have been working on securing a new training facility for the club. A number of meetings have taken place and I am hoping we can conclude something by the end of November.
"A training facility for this club and its future is one of the biggest and most important decisions that I will make while I’m here. Obviously, we’ll be entering into a long-term deal somewhere but because of the way that this football club is going to develop and bring on young players, naturally, it’s going to be a very important decision."
