KIRKMANSHULME Lane may not be high on many riders’ list of favourite tracks but Peter Kildemand’s always enjoyed himself in Manchester.
The Dane has been paid for 41 points during his four previous trips to Belle Vue in Robins colours, and will be hoping for more of the same this evening as the Blunsdon side look to further cement their place in the play-offs.
While admitting he and his teammates need to bring their gating gloves tonight, Kildemand is happy to once again visit a track not particularly well liked amongst the speedway community.
“It’s alright there, I’ve never had a really bad meeting there and I’ve had some good scores,” he said.
“You definitely have to take the gating gloves though because it can be gate and go there but it’s alright.
“Some people don’t like it there but I’ve always been alright.”
The Robins go into the clash on the back of an extremely impressive 60-31 battering of Coventry on Monday night, which left Kildemand full of confidence in his side.
“It’s really good, everyone played a part on Monday and that’s exactly what we need,” he said.
“Everybody clicked and that’s what you want and we’re looking really good for the play-offs.
“We go to Belle Vue now where everybody scores some points, we’ve won there once already this season so we know what to do.
“We are confident but we need to be sensible, everybody’s going really well and we know we can win.”
