RESERVE Steve Worrall insists he will be fit to ride for the Robins against Coventry on Monday despite crashing while riding for Edinburgh last night.
Worrall pulled out of the Monarch’s victory over Sheffield after coming off in his first ride, suffering bruising to his neck and shoulder in the process.
The reserve was due to ride for Edinburgh at Rye House tonight, rather than for the Robins at Leicester, but told Link Sport he will be fit for the crunch meeting with the Bees.
“I’m fine, it’s a bit sore and I landed on my top half pretty hard but it’s not too bad,” he said.
“I won’t be riding this weekend and will be resting up so I will be fine for Monday.”
Robins boss Alun Rossiter is still looking for a reserve replacement for Worrall tonight, with original choice Brendan Johnson pulling out after originally agreeing to ride.
Rossiter’s options are extremely limited, with Worrall somewhat surprisingly sliding down the draft list and nine meetings taking place today across the country.
